Mirror by Currey and Company from the Tessera collection in Cream / Black finishThe frame of the Tessera Round Mirror is covered in thousands of tiny fragments of egg shells applied in the technique of coquille d’uf, which is French for “eggshell.” The painstaking process to create it includes carefully cleaning, crushing, and often bleaching eggshell fragments that are arranged in a textural mosaic. Each one-of-a-kind mirror takes many hours to produce.
